Balch Machine was established in 1980 as a general fabrication and machine shop serving primarily the shrimp industry with three employees. Now in 2009 with over 35 employees we serve a very wide range of industries throughout South Texas such as Manufacturing, Marine, Agriculture, Cities and Municipalities, and Service organizations. Specializing in pump repair, new pump fabrication and installation for drainage and irrigation and fresh water supply, industrial fabrications and installations.

Shop capabilities include but are not limited to:

1. Optical pattern cutting steel plate from 1/16” thru 4” thickness
2. Optical pattern and manual Plasma cutting non-ferrous metals up to 1-1/2” thickness.
3. Shearing, Bending, and Rolling plate
4. Welding all ferrous and non-ferrous metals
5. CNC Machining Centers—20” x 40” and 30” x 50”
6. CNC Turning Center----10” x 21”
7. Turning capacity----72”
8. Horizontal Boring Mills-----36” x 55” & 72” x 84”
9. Internal Broach---Keyways 1/8” to 1-1/2”
10. Cylindrical and surface grinding.
11. Sand-Blasting and Painting (all coatings).
12. Field crew with hydraulic boom truck and portable welders.
13. Non-Destructive Testing w/ Ultrasonic and X-Ray available.
14. Design projects using Solid Works 3-D design and Auto Cad.
